Golden Globe Awards 2012: The Fasheen

I'm forever lazy. Instead of studying for our midterm exam tomorrow on Business Math, (mind you, the duration of her period was mostly spent on doodling Dsquared2's skeleton heels or watching porn ha-ha-ha!) looking and drooling in these ladies slaying the red carpet of this year's Golden Globes is making rounds on my mind right now instead of equations and formulas. But what-fucking-ever, I'm a fashion kid, not a math geek. Math geekz to da left please but I LOATHE / DESPISE / ABHOR MATHE-FUCKING-MATICS OKAY? (wow that's a whole lot of "fucking" I think I reached my quota already)

Let's move on shall we? Hooray for awards season and being the first major event of the year before the much-anticipated Oscars, this year's Golden Globes was replete with unexpected silhouettes, glamour-all-over look, pale hues and fishtail hems.

To start it all off, here's Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace. Her stunning and ever-legendary pout does a great job in complementing the red accents of that satin gown in terms of the color. And how does she manage to be a fierce android while maintaining that enviable beauty? The world is just unfair..

I want to offer myself to the fashion god/goddesses of Haider Ackermann and be like Tilda Swinton. Being the epitomy of effortless and androgynous style, momma is butchering the red carpet in this blue satin jacket + that chiffon dress underneath is simply DIVINE. From the hair to the jewels, everything is bliss. AAAAH I JUST WANNA BE TILDAaAaaAaAaA!!!!!!!!!

Leave it to Emma Stone to stand out in a sea of nude-colored frocks in this Lanvin stunner. Oh and that eagle on her belt is definitely soaring high as it complements the capped shoulders of her dress.

From plum to scarlet, Dianna Agron in Giles Deacon. The appeal of the intricacies of the dress works in all angles. It may be a daring and bold move to dress like the red carpet but she sure stands out in this dramatic work of art.

This girl is fast becoming a household name because of her role as Lisbeth Salander (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and her risky fashion choices on the red carpet. Rooney Mara in Nina Ricci. Although I would love to see her in something with color, I think black is her bestfriend. The girly-edgy vibe of the dress in unison with the sleek black hair is definitely a beauty.

Claire Danes in J. Mendel. Talk about chicness by way of that chic glittered open back of hers. Oh and I'll definitely spank that bum. #justsaying

I don't know with you fags but I'm a sucker for everything Zooey Deschanel (New Girl, 500 Days of Summer, She & Him). Especially in this custom Prada ensemble: the emerald green and black rhinestones plus the uber-chica embroidered collar. I will forever love this woman for her quirky style.

This is what I call transmogrification - Evan Rachel Wood in Roberto Cavalli. Is she a bird? Or a fish? Perhaps a peacock? I don't know but this dramatic dress is a modern interpretation of what a goddess should look like. I especially love the embellishments, its craftsmanship and of course, the opulent feathers!

I don't like Nicole Richie in this Julien McDonald metal-discoball looque. I think it's a far cry from her chic boho style but since she carried herself elegantly and shimmered and stunned in that floor-length column gown, I'll give it to her.

Mermaid vibes all over. Nicole Kidman in Versace.

This is what glamour is all about: Salma Hayek in Gucci. Hello at that art-deco inspired geometric beadwork on the bodice! I instantly fell in love with it and she totally gave the dress the justice it deserves. Well done Miz Hayek, well done.

Mermaids on the red carpet! Kate Beckinsale was a vision in a Roberto Cavalli gown replete with sequin embellishments

Another mermaid in sight! Funny lady Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang. Define sexy.

What is ethereal elegance? Shailene Woodley in Marchesa.

Bring on the bride drama! Elle Macpherson in Zac Posen. Werk that layered train and arms momma!

My best dressed: Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture. The plunging neckline, Cartier jewels and oversized bow are definitely a statement maker.
