Monastic Intervention

Fall's biggest trend was definitely the revival of Old World Renaissance's regal sophisticate that was equal parts aristocratic and vampiric. It was love at first sight after seeing these pieces on sale at the local thrift shop. Rich intricate embroidery? Check. Elaborate beading? One helluva check. Ostentatious? Decadent? Yes and yes. Here's how I interpreted the trend, worn on the first day of my second semester. It's true: school's first days are always a fashion show. The rest is a pajama party. Better satisfy prying eyes and serve them mayjah runway realness then!

Thrifted buttondowns, Topshop Moto jeans, Jellybean eyewear

Wow how I missed blogging.....
