For Spring, designers shied away from season's past of clean restraint to embrace
Lady Gaga's new album ARTPOP the excess - embellishments, decorations, fringe (as at Junya Watanabe), DIY (lots of it), art references, graffiti and even street style. Phoebe Philo Queen of Minimalism has been part of the movement, too, as she sent her tailored T's down the runway awash in vivid, abstract brush strokes.
Notably, the "Florals For Spring IS Groundbreaking" movement is at its full force as we've seen different variations of the flora - blown-up and hyper real, sporadically scattered or literally so obvious (hello, Christopher Kane!).
